Of course, I would be lying if I didn&#8217;t tell you I still occasionally throw a pity party, but my pity parties have decreased dramatically and\u00a0there are 5 main reasons:<\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0I deliberately focus on what I do have.<br \/>\n2. \u00a0I deliberately focus on what I have had, good and bad and realize not all things are permanent&#8230;..just for a season.<br \/>\n3. \u00a0I deliberately do not focus on what everyone else has.<br \/>\n4. \u00a0I deliberately focus on what I have today&#8230;.not the future&#8230;..just today.<br \/>\n5. \u00a0I deliberately focus on what I can control, which is my attitude. \u00a0I can&#8217;t control other people&#8217;s actions, inactions, or words. \u00a0I can control me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">6. \u00a0I deliberately focus on what I learned from the past, what I can learn today and where I want to be in my future.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\">Most importantly my focus now is more on my faith. God did not promise a trouble-free life but He did promise He would be with me, no matter what. So, even though I can organize a perfect Pity Party, I am going to quit throwing them.\u00a0Pity Parties are not fun, nor helpful and\u00a0I&#8217;ve got much better things to do with my time&#8230;..like counting my blessings. \u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;
